In January 2020 I was blessed to attent a beautiful workshop about masculine energy called ‘S(O)FT C(O)CK W(O)RSHIP’ hosted by my dear friend Melanie Bonajo. During a somatic exercise I asked someone to comb my ‘invisible princess hair’. I realised that this gave me a lot of warmth and pleasure. This loving act became a self help tool I would come to use privately to calm anxiety or stress.

Filmed in one take, this radically simple and vulnerable film shows a bald bearded person with a menacing resting face slowly become softer while caressing lushious hair that is not visible to the eye but definitely present. During the duration of the film a visualisation of the ‘invisible princess hair’ appears as a digital layer for a split second, before leaving space to the imagination again.
