2009

The W139 (an art space in Amsterdam) asked all the designers they ever worked with to create a poster for their 30th birthday. To unite the different designs, we were only allowed to use green and orange. The posters hanged in the streets of Amsterdam for 10 days and in the gallery space for a month.

I've always wanted to build a cake house, but never had a reason to do it. This seemed like the perfect opportunity. A cookie model of the building! I also wanted to pay homage to the squat movement, (the W139 was squatted 30 years ago) which made many great things possible in Amsterdam. You can see the squat logo on top of the left building.

I'm not a big fan of either green or orange, but since there was no way out of it, I pushed the psychedelic effect in reminiscence of Avedon's picture of the Beatles.
