'For Your Eyes Only'
2010
Foam invited me to make an exhibition in their amazing photo museum in Amsterdam.
I decided to make new work based on the theme "eye". It was quite a challenge since the subject has already extensively been developed throughout art history and religion.
The result is a collection of loose images with a dark but playful edge based on myths such as Cyclops, Medusa, Argus, the All Seeing Eye, Vampires, Hypnotism...
The photos were displayed in various sizes and printing techniques on black painted walls. The visitor felt slightly uncomfortable being watched by all the works.
